Statement that Tyrolian Village Association is under orders from TRPA and will be fined if TVA does not comply…
Findings of Washoe Planning Department
Staff reached out to TRPA and inquired about the change in coverage. TRPA stated that Tyrolian Village is not under orders. There is a program in Tyrolian Village where they want to remove some common area coverage so that some of the residents can build garages in the common area. It is a relocation of coverage. Tyrolian Village has extra coverage, and the coverage they want to remove to accommodate these new garages is coverage that no one is using.

Anonymous report to TRPA that TVA had not completely removed all the pavement in support of the garage program after decades of poor accounting.
TRPA responded in order to continue the garage program TVA would need to remediate the outstanding coverage.
There was no threat of fines nor order per County Opinion May 6th (See fact above)
On such a major issue for all unit owners, the board in executive secrecy rushed the remediation of pavement with no owner's input due to what they communicated was threats of fines and lawsuits.
Just like a major public works project the Board should have actively sought input from the community before any decision was made.
Rushed remediation has caused issues for owners that could have been addressed with a proper review and solicitation of input from unit owners.
Even though we remediated now the parking committee is recommending an end to the garage program

So….
The Board tore up 1/3 of an acre of parking to allow three unit owners to build garages. Was that really a wise choice?
Why did we not consider removing 1 tennis court?
Why did we not investigate buying coverage from another class 1 or 2a TRPA zone?
Are driveways Limited Common Element?
All Common Element besides Limited Common Element is a candidate area for remediation.
Did we consider removing driveways if they are just plain Common Element as some owners are arguing? [The same owners arguing other owners only gets one parking space.]
Can we park in your driveway since it is just Common Element?
